Volunteer Coordinator Needed!

As many of you know, Mike Hanbery has succeeded Dean Thomsen as President of the Gator Swim Team. As such, Mike's previous position as Volunteer Chair is now vacant. We are looking for someone to jump into the Volunteer Chair position and take over Mike's old duties.
Here is a description of the roles and responsibilities of the position:
Position: Volunteer Coordinator
General Description:
The Volunteer Chair (VC) is a Board Member with all responsibilities and authority bestowed thereupon.
Fundamental requirements
• Attend weekly Board meetings during the season and episodic meetings prior to and after the season
• Make a brief presentation at the annual orientation meeting
• Assist in the recruitment of parent volunteers throughout the course of the swim season
• Track the progress of families toward their volunteer requirement
• Deliver reports to the Board on request, including a standard End of Year report identifying families who appear not to have met the requirement.
Specific Responsibilities
The VC is responsible for the following PRIOR TO each HOME swim meet:
• Responding to specific recruitment requests from meet area chairs, including the morning of the meet in the case of no shows
• Insuring the meet is set up (possibly via a project manager), including Concessions
• Volunteer Nametags
• Meet signage
• National Anthem
The VC is responsible for the following AFTER each HOME swim meet:
• Takedown/put-away of all meet items including Concessions
• Recording of volunteer credits
The VC may:
• Phone identified families at risk of losing their deposit to match them up with team needs
• As a board member, the VC may fill in where volunteers are needed but unavailable.
• Write and contribute content to the Communications Chair as part of recruitment efforts
• Make suggestions for improvement and relay observations and communications from the Board’s constituencies.
• If and as supplies are required for the tasks listed above, the VC is responsible for procuring those supplies and working with the Treasurer for proper reimbursement
• Have fun. It’s a volunteer position, after all.
