Trish Anderson

Head Coach

Trish Anderson is yet another long-time member of SGCC. She swam for the Gators growing up, and also swam at Arapahoe High School.  After swimming as a Gator for 13 or 14 summers (she can’t even remember!), Trish was an assistant coach with the Gators during the 2000 summer season.  She rejoined the coaching staff for the 2005 summer season, and is now in her 5th season coaching. Trish is also a high school coach for the girls’ team at Valor Christian High School.

Trish graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder in May 2004, with a Bachelors Degree in Communication.  While at CU she worked for the Department of Housing and the Financial Aid Department.  As a CU Buff, Trish was a part of the Triathlon Team, where she met her husband, Davin Anderson. Trish and Davin were married in July 2006.

Trish graduated from Denver Seminary with her Masters Degree in Counseling, in May 2007. She has been working in a private practice setting for the last year, working primarily with domestic violence and substance abuse clients. Eventually, Trish would like to work in a high school, but she is currently working on her school counseling certification and her 2000 client-contact hours that Colorado requires to license her as a professional therapist.

Trish has had extensive experience working with kids and youth of all ages.  She was a Youth Group Leader for Wyldlife and Young Life; both are Christian outreach programs for middle school and high school teenagers. Trish continues to enjoy working with youth, and is currently the Youth Director at her church, where she leads the high school youth group. Her true passion is being on the pool deck, coaching kids of all ages. Trish is proud to be a long-time Gator, and is excited about another season being on the pool deck and working to positively impact youth.

Hey Gators!

As a new coach this year I would like everyone to know how excited I am to join the SGCC coaching staff.

This will be my final year of swimming. After 12 years with the Gators, I have finally reached that age. I also swam at Heritage High School for four years where I stood as team captain my senior year. Along with swimming I participated in soccer, cross country, and ultimate Frisbee. I enjoy the outdoors as well, mostly skiing. During my winters I spend much of my time on the volunteer ski patrol at Copper Mountain where I have refined my outdoor emergency care skills, as well as my skiing skills throughout my four years of patrol. After graduation from Heritage in May of 2007 I relocated up to the University of Colorado at Boulder where I am currently wrapping up my freshman year.

This summer I want to have fun with the team, and enjoy the sun. I can’t wait for the season to start!

Hey Gators!

Let me just start out by saying how much I am looking forward to being not only a swimmer this year, but also one of the coaches at Southglenn!

This year will be my eleventh and final year as Gator swimmer. In addition to SGCC swimming, I was a member of the Arapahoe High School swim team for four years, and was a team captain my senior year. I got the wonderful opportunity to swim at the state swim meet all four years. In addition to swimming, I love to run track, which I participated in at Arapahoe for three years. I was a captain senior year for Track and Field as well.

Along the way I have played competitive soccer, done a year of club swimming, and even, when I was much younger, tried my hand at ballet. For the past three summers I worked as a lifeguard, but won’t be continuing in that position this summer. Next fall I will be attending Colorado State University in Fort Collins, though it is yet to be determined what I will major in.

I can’t wait for this summer and all the fun happenings that will be going on at SGCC. If you have any questions feel free to ask! I’m looking forward to a great summer.
